Dog Sledding Tours on Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

A dog sled tour can add another twist and turn (literally and figuratively) to your Alaskan adventure!  We offer two options for Dog Sled Tours as described below.  These two options can be added to any package.

REAL SLED DOG RIDES ON A GLACIER IN SEWARD

What a spectacular addition to any trip to Alaska! Note: you can even do this in the same day that you go on a fjord tour for one of the most action-packed, scenery filled, fully utilized days you will ever have in Alaska! You will truly get see a glacier from head to toe in one day!

Take off in a helicopter, fly a short but scenic 10 minutes and then find yourself landing at dog camp on top of an ancient glacier. A team of sled dogs anxiously awaits to pull you across perfect white snow. Dog sled tours on Godwin Glacier are some of the most fun you can have in Alaska! After your sled ride, cuddle our lovable puppies, take pictures of the beautiful Alaskan scenery, and talk with your Alaskan musher about his or her best trail stories.

LAND BASED SLED DOG TOURS IN SEWARD

Enjoy the excitement of a 2 1/2 mile sled dog ride through the Alaskan wilderness from the comfort of a Polaris Ranger! As you cruise around the trail, you’ll learn about the life of a sled dog from Junior Iditarod champion Conway Seavey. See for yourself everything that goes into preparing a family of dogs, young and old, for the world’s toughest race – the Iditarod.

After your ride you’ll come back to the kennel of reigning Iditarod champ Mitch Seavey, and play with puppies as they romp around their oversized run pen (shoelaces not recommended)! Get a behind-the-scenes look at a real racing kennel, and see where the action happens. To top it off, they’ll dress you up as a musher and dress up a sled dog in all its racing gear and let you and the dog show off all your stuff!
